Nagarjuna's Letter to a Friend – With Ven. Olivier Rossi
From Monday, 9. January 2023
To Friday, 13. January 2023

Arya Nagarjuna

Experienced western monk, Ven. Olivier Rossi, will lead this experiential retreat on Nagarjuna's profound text, Letter to a Friend.

The great Indian master Arya Nagarjuna was remarkable for his ability to condense the whole of the Buddha's teachings into comprehensive works and was especially noted for having expounded the profound meaning of the doctrine.

In this letter he wrote to his friend and student, King Gautamiputra, he provides a frank yet subtly pointed exposition of the entire Buddhist path, from the basic foundations of discipline to the profundities of the Mahayana view. It is addressed to anyone who sincerely wishes to practice the Buddha's teaching as a means to become free from the cycle of existence.

To be announced closer to the time.

General information about the spiritual programme

On the appropriate dates in the Tibetan calendar year-round, however, we observe the standard pujas of the Gelug tradition and these are drop-in sessions which anyone can attend. If you are in Bodhgaya and would like to come along, please feel welcome to join us for:

  • Tara Puja
  • Medicine Buddha Puja
  • Guru Puja with Tsog
  • Protector Puja.

Unless otherwise indicated, registration is required for all events except:
