This season’s Lam Rim Intensive will be based on the text, Liberation in the Palm of Your Hand, one of the best-known and most accessible presentations of Lam Rim.
It was composed by one of the greatest Tibetan scholar-yogis of the 20th Century, Second Pabongka Rinpoche, also known as Pabongka Dechen Nyingpo.
The text is based on his twenty-four day series of teachings given in 1921 to a large gathering of sangha members and laypeople that was a complete synthesis of all the Buddha's teachings, from notes taken by Trijang Rinpoche, who became His Holiness the Dalai Lama's junior tutor.
As with all lam rim texts, its structure leads the disciple through contemplations which expand their spiritual development from a state of small, to middling and, eventually, to great scope, the path of a bodhisattva.
This course will be led by our resident geshe, Geshe Ngawang Rabga, who teaches in Tibetan and will be supported by our experienced English translator & tutor, Matt Whiston.
