Online via Zoom and YouTube live:
Every Sunday, 7-8pm
Indian Standard Time (GMT+5.5)

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to devastate many parts of the world, Root Institute is arranging weekly Green Tara group practice sessions to help quell the tremendous suffering brought on by the pandemic. The Green Tara practice has been especially recommended by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the primary practice for these troubled times. In general, Green Tara is the manifestation of all of the enlightened activities of the Buddhas. Her practice is highly praised for removing obstacles and bringing quick success in our virtuous activities.

As Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche said, "Tara is quick to grant success in obtaining the ultimate happiness of enlightenment. You receive much good merit, or cause of happiness; it prevents a suffering rebirth in your next life; you receive initiation from millions of buddhas; and you achieve enlightenment."

Join us on Sundays for an hour-long session in which we will do the Green Tara sadhana, recite the praises to the twenty-one Taras and offer extensive dedication prayers including the King of Prayers for all our holy gurus and sentient beings, including all those who are sick and all those who have died. You can submit the names of those who are sick and those who have passed away in the past seven weeks to . These sessions will be led alternately by Venerable Tenzin Namjong and Venerable Tenzin Legtsok.
